
Laurent C. Vonderweidt is licensed as an attorney both in France and in California.
While in France, Mr. Vonderweidt first worked for a law firm specialized in cases before the Court de Cassation, the equivalent of the US Supreme Court. He then went with the law firm of Salans, Hertzfeld & Heilbron, representing major international corporations. At the same time, he was an adjunct professor at the University of Paris-X teaching Banking Law and Contracts. After attending the University of San Diego, Mr. Vonderweidt worked for two major Los Angeles law firms before opening his own law firm in 1995.
Through the years, Mr. Vonderweidt has developed strong ties with the French community in Southern California. Mr. Vonderweidt has been invited to participate to various live shows on American television such as CNN, The Today Show and the NBC news hours as well on the Public National broadcasting radio at the News Hour with Jim Lehrer as well as on the French radio station Europe 1, where he gave several talks to business leaders regarding investing in the United States. Mr. Vonderweidt is also an arbitrator with The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and has presided over several arbitrations.
Our law firm’s emphasis is on representing foreign corporations and individual, especially French corporations coming to the United States. Most of the firm’s clients are from Europe, but the firm also represents clients from Australia, Switzerland, Belgium, Iran, Algeria, Lebanon, Vietnam, Canada, Columbia and Senegal.
Fluent in French and using his French legal education and experience, Mr. Vonderweidt is able to guide clients, either French or American, through the arcane of the French legal system. Having worked in France and maintaining both professional and personal ties there, Mr. Vonderweidt has many resources available in both countries.
Geraldine Tissot-Brown is licensed as an attorney in both France and in California.
A native of southwestern France, she completed her law degree in Bordeaux, followed by Master’s studies in Spain, and an LLM from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, USA. She joined the Law Offices of Laurent C. Vonderweidt a decade ago, and has developed a deep expertise in business immigration, French and U.S. nationality law, and relocation matters both ways. She has given many talks and conferences and published articles for several media outlets in the U.S.
Originally from North Carolina, Anne earned her bachelor’s degree in French Language from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2011. She joined The Law Offices of Laurent C. Vonderweidt in 2020, and earned her associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies from the ABA-approved Paralegal Program at Los Angeles City College in June 2023. She became a NALA Certified Paralegal in June 2025.
